How to Make the TeamThe Business Analyst will work as part of the Business Operations & Strategy team to support the core efforts of developing analyses and predictive analytics to drive business decision making. This position will use a strong base of technical skills to manipulate and visualize various sources of business data. Problem solving and critical thinking will be key success factors for delivering unique and actionable insights from our business data.
Show Us You Can* Partner with various stakeholders across ticketing, premium, sponsorship, and marketing to translate business problems into specific analytical projects that will involve data modeling and conducting quantitative analysis
- Develop data-driven insights by partnering with teams across ticketing, premium, sponsorship, and marketing
- Design and build internal data pipelines and automation processes to streamline business reporting
- Perform historical and predictive analysis to optimize pricing, renewal probability, fan engagement, and operational efficiency
- Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, SQL, or Python to track key business metrics.
- Support revenue forecasting, segmentation models, and other business-critical analytics projects
- Identify and implement improvements in reporting processes and business workflows
- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work within our team and cross functionally to identify improvements to current reporting and business processes
Your Training & Talent* 1-2 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases for querying and data manipulation
- Experience with Python or R for statistical modeling and data analysis is a plus
- Knowledge of Tableau or other BI tools to create dashboards and visual reports
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills for data analysis and presentations
- Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field)
- Ability to break down complex business problems and develop systematic, sustainable data solutions
- Strong communication skills to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) or ticketing platforms (Archtics, Ticketmaster) is a plus
Where You’ll Go* The New York Islanders have offices in Floral Park, NY, as well as Manhattan. You will be in the office 2-3 days per week
- Attend home games and other events as needed (events can fall on evenings/weekends/holidays)

The salary range for this position is between $70,000-$75,000 annually. Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to, skills, education, training, experience and market demands.
